Eastern Culture

Forgiving and apologize is not only one of sacred eastern culture but the whole world. One who make mistake should be forgiven and should ask for forgiveness. I remember what my religion taught me, forgive and been forgiven. But now things are becoming so weird. I’m surely that you heard about the controversial and confusing statement made by one of our Member of Parliament.

The controversial statement erupt a chaos in the Parliament which is the argument between the opposition and the government MPs. A common thing happens in every parliament house around the world. One side says that the Member of Parliament that stated the controversial and confusing statement should ask for apology for confusing the Parliament House with his statement, meanwhile one side says that he should not ask for apology because every human made mistake. These argument become tenses and the apposition plead that this argument should be brought to the council.

Not so surprising that the Member of Parliament found not guilty for making a fuss and confusing statement in the Parliament. What was for surprising is that the Member of Parliament came out with a press conference that he will no ask for apology. What?

So surprising, where is our eastern culture of forgiveness? Asking an apology from the other Member of Parliament especially from the opposition that brought this argument doesn’t mean you bow to them. Am I right? Since we are young we are taught by our parent to forgive one who made mistake against us and ask for forgiveness when we made mistake. It is not wrong to stand your ground but better if we ask for apology.

Beside our eastern culture teaches us to forgive and been forgiven, every religious in the world do say so except for satanic and scientology. I’m not sure for those two.
For a Member of Parliament, that is a bad example for the younger generations and future leader.
